ANNUAL HULL CUT & POLISH
Cutting and polishing your boats hull should be part of your annual out of water maintenance. Polishing your boats hull out of the water ensures safe access, efficiency and quality results.
GC Boat Detailing will work in with your schedule to get you off the hardstand as efficiently as possible.
When you choose GC Boat Detailing, you choose quality. What others may rush through in a few hours or a day will likely take us longer as we care about your boat and our reputation.
CUT AND POLISH
'Buffing', 'Cutting', 'Polishing' We've all heard these words thrown around but what do they mean?
Cutting or 'buffing' refers to the first step in a 'cut and polish'. This step removes oxidation and restores lustre but can leave scratches in the surface known as swirls and holograms.
Polishing is the second step. This step is done to refine the surface and remove scratches from the first step, leaving your boat sparkling.
There are no short cuts to a good cut and polish and no miracle one step solutions. If you want your boat looking its best and protected from the elements, it's time to call GC Boat Detailing!
TEAK CARE
GC Boat Detailing offers teak cleaning, restoration and sealing services. If your teak is in good condition, a two part teak clean followed by application of Semco sealer can keep your teak looking new for many months without greying off.
If the seams in your teak are raised or teak badly weathered, we can restore your teak decks by sanding, cleaning and sealing them.
Whatever your teak decks need, GC Boat Detailing has the solution.
VINYL SEAT CLEANING
Boats can sit closed up for months due to busy schedules and other commitments. That's life!
If your boats vinyl seats are mouldy or dirty and need a good clean, let GC Boat Detailing look after them.
Our tried and trusted processes bring your vinyl seats back to their best possible condition.
Once clean, we condition your seats to ensure the vinyl remains soft and cleaner for longer.
If we have one tip for boat owners... NEVER store ANYTHING on your vinyl seats! Heavy objects can leave marks, tools leave rust stains and dye can bleed from wet towels staining your vinyl.
BOAT CARPET CLEANING
Often overlooked, we highly recommend steam cleaning your boats carpets as part of your annual haul out and maintenance program whilst on the hard stand.
Steam cleaning your boats carpets reduces dust, allergens, smells and mould spores, as well as removing stains and enhancing your boating experience.
Choosing to steam clean your boats carpet on the hardstand ensures easier access for machines, resulting in greater efficiency and reduced cost.
The marine environment is harsh. Salt spray dries on windows and as all good boat owners do, you rinse the boat down to remove the salt. This leads to your boats windows being covered in water spots!
The tap water used to rinse your boat contains minerals. These minerals dry on the glass and create hard water spots that are very difficult to remove without polishing.
If you rinse your boat with tap water, you need to dry your boats windows to avoid these water spots!
If your boats windows are looking spotty and tired, give GC Boat Detailing a call and let us restore them for you.
